Dodd-Frank Rollback Bill Moves Out Of Committee Unchanged

Law360, New York (December 5, 2017, 7:36 PM EST) -- A Senate panel on Tuesday advanced a bipartisan package of changes to the Dodd-Frank Act, rejecting a slew of amendments from more liberal Democrats that could have altered the delicate framework that allowed lawmakers from both parties to produce the compromise bill.

The Senate Banking Committee voted 16-7 to approve S. 2155, the Economic Growth, Regulatory Relief and Consumer Protection Act, a bipartisan bill that won the support of four Democrats on the committee and a total of 12 Democratic co-sponsors in the Senate.
