The Walking Company's Ch. 11 Plan Gets Court Approval

By Vince Sullivan (June 12, 2018, 8:50 PM EDT) -- The Chapter 11 plan of reorganization of comfort shoemaker and retailer The Walking Company received court approval in Delaware Tuesday, wrapping up its bankruptcy case a little more than three months after it was filed.

During a confirmation hearing in Wilmington, U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Laurie Selber Silverstein said the proposed plan satisfied the requirements of the bankruptcy code and that there were no outstanding objections to confirmation.

"I find that the plan meets the confirmation standards of Section 1129," Judge Silverstein said. "I note here the committee is in support of the plan and all of the objections have been resolved...
