Deals Rumor Mill: Unilever, Siemens, Air Berlin

By Benjamin Horney (October 24, 2017, 8:47 PM EDT) -- The second round of bidding for the multibillion-dollar margarine and spreads unit of European consumer goods giant Unilever is set to begin, with Reuters reporting on Tuesday that at least three potential suitors remain in the hunt. According to the report, a group featuring Bain Capital LP and Clayton Dubilier & Rice LLC is still in the running, as are KKR & Co. LP and Apollo Global Management. Some others that were previously rumored to be interested in the business have since dropped out, the report said. Previous reports have said the Unilever business could be valued at about €7 billion ($8.3 billion) in a deal....
