Louis Vuitton Wins Bid To End US Fight Over 'Pooey' Parody

Law360 (May 14, 2019, 10:56 PM EDT) -- Louis Vuitton Malletier SA on Tuesday won a bid to keep its trademark battle against a poop-shaped toy purse called Pooey Puitton solely in France, after a U.S. judge shut down a parallel case filed in California federal court.

U.S. District Judge John F. Walter said toymaker MGA Entertainment Inc. had no basis to seek a declaratory judgment of noninfringement for its Pooey Puitton, a plastic purse filled with tubes of "unicorn poop" slime that was designed to look like a poop emoji crossed with a Louis Vuitton handbag.
