Deals Rumor Mill: Burton's, Relational Investors, Avolon

By Benjamin Horney (October 1, 2014, 5:42 PM EDT) -- Burton's Biscuit Co. is among the final bidders for fellow U.K. snack maker United Biscuits Ltd., Reuters reported Wednesday. According to the report, Burton's has already tasked bankers to begin working on debt financings of up to $2.34 billion to back its bid. The other finalists are Michigan-based Kellogg Co. and Turkish biscuit maker Ulker Biskuvi Sanayi AS, the report said. Final bids are due by Oct. 31, according to the report. Previous reports have said that United Biscuits could sell for as much as $3.25 billion....
