Mass. Gov. Defends Vape Ban In 'Time Of Crisis'

By Chris Villani (November 19, 2019, 8:45 PM EST) -- Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker defended his ban on the sale of vaping products in the state, telling the Supreme Judicial Court in a brief filed Tuesday that the emergency measure is "an essential tool" for action in a "time of crisis."

The Republican governor and a vaping trade association are both appealing a Superior Court ruling that kept the four-month ban in place, but was critical of the means by which Baker's Administration outlawed the sale of nearly all vaping products.

Baker said Tuesday that Judge Douglas Wilkins was wrong when he forced the administration to jump through several legal hoops...
