MedMen Owes Ex-CFO Legal Fees In His Fight With Pot Giant

By Sam Reisman (July 15, 2020, 8:29 PM EDT) -- Cannabis giant MedMen must pay up to $500,000 in legal fees each year to its former chief financial officer to cover costs of his ongoing lawsuit against the company, a California state judge ruled Tuesday.

While the underlying dispute between MedMen and ex-executive James Parker remains unresolved, Judge Mark A. Young found that the employment contract between them is "clear and unambiguous" about paying his legal fees for any suit incurred by his connection with the company.
