Mass. Pot Regulators Hit TILT, Ayr With Nearly $600K In Fines

By Diana Novak Jones (June 18, 2021, 7:43 PM EDT) -- Multistate cannabis company TILT Holdings Inc. and a Massachusetts marijuana company owned by Ayr Wellness Inc. have agreed to pay combined total of nearly $600,000 in fines to Massachusetts' Cannabis Control Commission to settle allegations they violated the state's marijuana regulations.

As part of a settlement agreement approved by the commission Thursday, TILT will pay $275,000 to resolve allegations it used a network of subsidiaries to control five medical marijuana treatment centers when state law only allows companies to have three.
