Dell Shareholders Ditch Fraud Claims For $40M
Having defeated shareholder claims of securities fraud at the district court and delivered the winning argument on the subsequent appeal, Dell Inc. has agreed to pay a class of investors $40 million to put an end to the drawn-out litigation.

The board of directors at Dell Inc. has received a shareholder demand letter asking that the board investigate allegations made in securities lawsuits against current and former officers and directors and the company’s auditor PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, the personal-computer maker disclosed Thursday.
