Federal and State Suits Collide in Blue Cross Case
A $180 million settlement in a massive federal class-action suit against Blue Cross and Blue Shield may be jeopardized Wednesday as the plaintiffs in a separate case being pursued against Blue Cross in Florida state court argue that the federal settlement unfairly bars them from continuing the state suit.

Blue Cross Settles Doctor Fraud Claims For $128M
Twenty-three Blue Cross and Blue Shield health plans across the U.S. agreed on Friday to pay $128 million and implement new billing procedures to settle a class action suit which accused the managed care companies of defrauding about 900,000 doctors.
