Judge Pans Cigna Bid To Delay Arbitration In MDL
A Florida magistrate judge Tuesday recommended a ruling against Cigna Healthcare's bid to delay a final arbitration hearing in a long-running dispute related to multidistrict litigation claiming that managed care insurance companies conspired to keep down physician reimbursements, saying the burden on Cigna would not outweigh the harm to class members.

Cigna Seeks Accounting For $25M From Settlement Distributor
Cigna Healthcare urged a Florida federal court on Monday to require Managed Care Advisory Group LLC to submit an accounting for $25 million in class-action settlement funds that the insurer sent the claims processor for distribution, citing uncertainty over what happened to at least $10 million.

Doctors' Groups Sanctioned In Wellpoint Conspiracy MDL
A Florida federal judge on Wednesday sanctioned several state doctors' associations and doctors, saying they were in contempt for failing to withdraw claims that Wellpoint Inc. conspired to keep down reimbursements in multidistrict litigation in California, after the managed care plan provider settled similar claims in Florida.
