A federal judge on Monday overruled American Municipal Power Inc.'s objections to a magistrate judge's finding that emails about AMP and contractor Bechtel Power Corp. were subject to attorney-client privilege, barring the mistakenly disclosed documents from AMP's contract suit over a power plant project.

A federal judge pared claims Tuesday from an Ohio electricity cooperative's contract lawsuit alleging contractor Bechtel Power Corp. lowballed the cost estimate for a coal-fired power plant by more than $1 billion, but declined to limit damages under the plaintiff's contract claim.
