Motorola Solutions Inc. on Thursday settled with a proposed class of investors for $200 million over their claims that they incurred up to $1.1 billion in earnings losses after the mobile phone giant failed to deliver its 3G handsets in 2006.

Motorola Solutions Inc. lost a bid Monday to ditch an Illinois class action over losses shareholders allegedly suffered when the company failed to ship its third generation cellphones to stores for the 2006 holiday shopping season.
