Tribe, Enviros To Get $250K For Fees In Alaska Forest Case
A Native American tribe and several environmental groups that successfully sued the U.S. Department of Agriculture over its decision to drop protections against road construction and timber harvesting in Alaska's Tongass National Forest agreed Thursday to settle their claims for attorneys' fees for $250,000.
