Cristal, Kronos To Exit Paint Pigment Cartel Suit For $85M
Cristal USA Inc. and Kronos Worldwide Inc. have agreed to pay $85 million to settle class action allegations that the companies participated in an industry cartel to fix prices for titanium dioxide, a chemical pigment used in paint and other products, according to court documents filed Tuesday in Maryland.
