Verizon Settles ADA Suit Over Absence Policy For $20M
Verizon Communications Inc. agreed on Wednesday in Maryland to pay $20 million to settle the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission's claims that the company's attendance policies failed to accommodate a class of workers whose absences were caused by their disabilities.
