Dynegy Holdings LLC and several Public Service Enterprise Group Inc. units reached a settlement Tuesday in their dispute over Dynegy's bankruptcy, which PSEG had claimed was a sham aimed at getting the company out of leases and unfairly benefiting investors.

Energy company Dynegy Holdings LLC filed a reorganization plan Thursday that calls for parent company Dynegy Inc. — which is not bankrupt and has taken heat for allegedly hoarding valuable assets for itself in an out-of-court restructuring — to share the wealth with disgruntled creditors.

Several Public Service Enterprise Group Inc. units asked a New York bankruptcy court Friday to throw out the Chapter 11 case of electricity provider Dynegy Holdings LLC, claiming the company's insolvency was an artificial one manufactured by Carl Icahn and certain other shareholders.
