Insurer Must Cover Wholesaler's $3.5M W.Va. 'Pill Mill' Deal
An Illinois federal judge ruled Thursday that Cincinnati Insurance Co. must cover H.D. Smith LLC's $3.5 million settlement of the state of West Virginia's suit alleging the drug wholesaler helped facilitate an opioid addiction epidemic by overdistributing the prescription painkillers.

Cincinnati Fights Coverage of W.Va. AG's 'Pill Mill' Suit
Cincinnati Insurance Co. sued drug distributor H.D. Smith Wholesale Drug Co. in Illinois Friday, attempting to avoid covering Smith in a lawsuit alleging it's part of a "pill mill" system contributing to West Virginia's epidemic of painkiller abuse.
