The Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. slapped Akerman Senterfitt LLP with a $4.6 million lawsuit in Florida federal court Friday contending the firm negligently failed to secure now-defunct Peninsula Bank's interest in real estate tied to a $7 million loan that later went into default.
