BASF Dumps DDT Claims With $5M Settlement
BASF Corp. has agreed to pay $5 million to settle claims that its predecessor violated the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act and the Clean Water Act by polluting Alabama's Tombigbee River with DDT, according to a consent decree to be published in Tuesday's Federal Register.
