Dish Network Corp. and ABC-parent the Walt Disney Co. reached an agreement late Monday to settle their portion of long-running litigation over Dish's ad-skipping DVR service, part of a broader, long-term carriage deal between the two companies.

The Ninth Circuit on Friday refused to rehear Fox Broadcasting Co.'s attempt to have the court shut down Dish Network Corp.'s "Hopper" ad-skipping digital video recording service in a copyright infringement battle between the broadcaster and cable service provider.
