    Safeway Settles With EPA Over Refrigerator Leaks

    Safeway Inc., the second largest grocery store chain in the U.S., has agreed to pay a $600,000 fine and take steps to limit ozone-depleting emissions from its refrigerators to settle charges that it violated the Clean Air Act, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency said Wednesday.
