FilmOn X LLC on Wednesday urged the D.C. Circuit not to freeze its appeal of an order blocking its rebroadcasts of network television until the U.S. Supreme Court decides a similar copyright suit against rival Aereo Inc., saying the high court's ruling might not determine its case's outcome.

The nation's broadcasters asked the D.C. Circuit on Monday to halt proceedings in their copyright case against online television streaming service FilmOn X LLC until the U.S. Supreme Court rules on Aereo Inc.'s similar service, but warned that FilmOn wants the case to continue.

Online video streaming service FilmOn X LLC on Thursday urged the D.C. Circuit to lift a Washington, D.C., federal court's injunction prohibiting it from retransmitting four major television networks' broadcasts over the Internet, saying the lower court misunderstood the nature of its technology.
