    AdvancePierre Escapes Sandwich Trans Fat Suit

    A California federal judge on Wednesday tossed a proposed class action challenging AdvancePierre Foods Inc.'s use of partially hydrogenated oils, or trans fat, in its microwaveable sandwiches, concluding that the litigation is one of the "frivolous suits" that Congress sought to avoid with a law temporarily restricting deeming the oils unsafe.
