    FDIC Can Seek Damages Over Crowe Horwath Audits: Judge

    An Illinois federal judge on Tuesday trimmed a negligence claim but allowed a jury demand and punitive damages request by the the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation to stay in a lawsuit accusing international accounting firm Crowe Horwath of performing inadequate audits that allowed an already-foundering bank to lose $21 million.
