    Charter Wins Trial In Truck Safety Check Pay Suit

    A California federal judge ruled Thursday following a bench trial that Charter Communications is not required to pay its on-call maintenance technicians for performing safety checks on their trucks before the start of their shifts, saying the checks were common-sense safety measures that took less than a minute to complete.
