A Louisiana federal judge has dismissed a gambler's proposed class action accusing Caesars Entertainment Inc.'s Horseshoe Bossier City casino of skimming patrons' change when they cash out of slot machines, ruling that the court does not have subject matter jurisdiction over the claims.

The plaintiff who filed a proposed class action accusing a Caesars Entertainment Inc. casino of pocketing the change of its gamblers is shooting back at the defendant's motion to dismiss, saying the parent company is liable for the actions of its subsidiary and that the casino, not the gambler, is to blame for the unreturned change.

Caesars Entertainment Inc. is asking a Louisiana federal court to dismiss a proposed class action accusing the casino operator of stiffing gamblers of their change, arguing the plaintiff is suing the wrong defendant because they are not the owners of a casino central to the case, and that the plaintiff is to blame, not them, for not receiving his money.

Caesars Entertainment Inc. was hit with a proposed class action in Louisiana federal court Friday alleging it manipulated the cash-out systems of its electronic gaming, the second suit of its kind against a gaming institution filed by Sternberg Naccari & White LLC in the last week.
