Order
TEXT ORDER: Defendants' request for an ex parte conference with the Court, D.E. 71, is denied. Counsel for the parties shall appear in person for a status conference on July 29, 2026, at 9:45 a.m., in Courtroom 2D of the Martin Luther King Courthouse, at 50 Walnut Street in Newark. Because of the demands on the Court's time, this in-person conference will not be rescheduled absent emergent circumstances, and all trial counsel shall appear. If the parties resolve the disputes set forth in their June 23, 2026 joint letter [D.E. 71 ], they may file a letter seeking to vacate the July 29 hearing. To that end, the parties shall meet and confer again in a good faith effort to resolve or substantially narrow the scope of any disputes. Defendants' vague allusions to certain "obstacles" and "issues" delaying their compliance with this Court's discovery Order are insufficient and they must act affirmatively to meet their obligations. Failure to do so, by any party, may result in sanctions. So Ordered by Magistrate Judge Andre M. Espinosa on June 25, 2026. (ame)
