ORDER: The Court is in receipt of Plaintiff's letter motion 27 for a two-week extension of time to file a motion for settlement approval, as well as Defendant's response 28 to the motion, disputing certain of Plaintiff's characterizations as to the reasons for delay. In light of the parties' representations regarding the additional time needed for the parties to finalize the settlement papers, Plaintiff's request for an extension of time is granted. The parties are respectfully directed to file a proposed Settlement Agreement pursuant to Cheeks v. Freeport Pancake House, Inc., 796 F.3d 199 (2d Cir. 2015), on or before 7/2/2026. The parties are respectfully reminded that they may file a form consenting to reassignment of this case to the undersigned Magistrate Judge for all purposes, including for review of the settlement agreement and to conduct the Cheeks hearing. See ECF 2 . Attached to this Order is a blank copy of the consent form that should be filled out, signed, and filed electronically if all parties wish to consent. The form may also be accessed at the following link: https://www.uscourts.gov/forms/civil-forms/notice-consent-and-reference-civil-action-magistrate-judge.
