Order to Show Cause
ORDER TO SHOW CAUSE: On June 6, 2023, the Relator brought this False Claims Act, 31 U.S.C. § 3729-32, on behalf of the United States of America alleging that Defendants had defrauded the Government to qualify for loans under the Paycheck Protection Program ("PPP"). ECF No. 10 (Compl.). The Government declined to intervene. ECF No. 8. On June 4, 2025, the Court directed that, "in the event that the [R]elator ha[d] not moved to the dismiss the action" by August 5, 2025, then the Relator was authorized to effectuate service upon the Defendants by that date. Id. P 1. The Relator did not do either. On November 6, 2025, the Court ordered the Relator to file a letter informing the Court of the status of the matter by November 11, 2025. ECF No. 11. The Relator failed to file the requisite letter. The Court again directed the Relator on November 20, 2025 to "file an update letter forthwith." ECF No. 12. The Relator did not do so. By December 18, 2025, the Relator is hereby directed to show cause why this action should not be dismissed for failure to prosecute. If Plaintiff fails to respond to this Order, the Court will dismiss the Complaint for failure to prosecute, pursuant to Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 41(b). See United States v.
