Minute Order Order on Motion for Default Judgment
MINUTE ORDER IN CHAMBERS of the Honorable Judge James C. Mahan on 6/25/2026. By Judicial Assistant: E. Santiago.
Before the Court is Plaintiff's Motion for Default Judgment. ECF No. 10 . The Court reviewed the Motion and finds it fails to comply with the requirements of LR IA 10-1 and 10-2. Specifically, lines of text in the Motion, Declaration, and proposed Order are not numbered consecutively beginning with 1 on the left margin. Further, the caption on the first page does not indicate by whom the Motion was filed in compliance with the local rules. LR IA 10-1 states that texts of submissions to the Court must "be double-spaced... [and] numbered consecutively beginning with 1 on the left margin of each page." LR IA 10-2 states "[t]he first page of every document presented for filing must contain the following information in this format, with the attorney or pro se party's name beginning at least one inch below the top of the page."
Counsel for Plaintiff is advised to comply with all local rules, including the rules relating to the format of submissions.
Accordingly, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that the Motion for Default Judgment (ECF No. 10 ) is DENIED without prejudice.
