Scheduling Order
SCHEDULING ORDER: The Court is in receipt of Defendant's letter 72 , requesting a conference to resolve the parties' disagreements as to two remaining issues and to finalize the settlement. The request is granted, in part. A Pre-Settlement Status Conference will be held via Zoom on 8/11/2026 at 3:15 p.m. before Magistrate Judge Taryn A. Merkl. Because this is a pre-settlement conference, Plaintiff pro se and counsel for Defendant are required to attend; a representative for Defendant is permitted, but not required, to attend. The parties are instructed to copy and paste the following link: https://nyed.zoomgov.com/ into a web browser and enter Meeting ID 160 3477 8681 and Passcode 525035 to join the conference. Parties may also join using the Zoom app on a mobile device, using the same Meeting ID. The public can dial the toll-free number 1-646-828-7666 and enter Meeting ID 160 3477 8681 and Passcode 525035. The parties shall join five (5) minutes before the scheduled conference. By 8/3/2026, defense counsel is respectfully directed to submit a joint letter, attaching the latest version of the draft settlement agreement with the parties' redlines, to Chambers via email to Merkl_Chambers@nyed.uscourts.gov. Defense counsel is respectfully directed to provide a copy of this Scheduling Order to Plaintiff via email and to file proof of same by 7/24/2026. The Clerk of Court is respectfully directed to mail a copy of this Scheduling Order to Plaintiff at 715 Avenue M Brooklyn, NY 11230. Ordered by Magistrate Judge Taryn A. Merkl on 7/17/2026. (KC)
