Order to Show Cause ~Util - Set Deadlines/Hearings
ORDER TO SERVE OR SHOW CAUSE: Accordingly, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that Plaintiff shall serve Defendant and file proof of such service on the docket by June 12, 2025. If proof of service has not been filed by that date, and Plaintiff fails to show good cause why the time for service should be further extended, the Court will dismiss this case. The parties are on notice that failure to comply with court orders and all applicable rules may result in sanctions, including: monetary sanctions on counsel and the parties themselves; preclusion of claims, defenses, evidence, and motion practice; and the case-terminating sanctions of dismissal, with prejudice, for failure to prosecute and default judgment. Plaintiff, personally, is further on notice that she is ultimately responsible for prosecuting this case, which may be dismissed because of her chosen counsel's failure to prosecute it. See Link v. Wabash R. Co., 370 U.S. 626, 633 (1962). SO ORDERED. ( Service due by 6/12/2025.) (Signed by Judge Mary Kay Vyskocil on 6/5/2025) (tg)
