Order on Motion to Amend/Correct/Modify Order on Motion for Extension of Time to File
MINUTE ORDER: Defendant Dion Brandon Russell's Partially Opposed Motion to Modify Scheduling Order, ECF No. 114 , is GRANTED for good cause shown. Although the plaintiffs propose a narrower extension of the deadline to serve discovery requests, allowing only those that are follow-up requests for discrete information based on new information not previously available to the requesting party, see ECF No. 117 at 2, adding such criteria portends of disputes about whether the requests truly have such a basis or not. As a matter of case management, extending the deadline itself is clearer and leaves ample time to answer the requests before the extended discovery cutoff deadline. Accordingly, it is ORDERED that the scheduling order be modified as follows: Deadline for service of non-contention interrogatories and requests for production is December 15, 2026; deadline for service of contention interrogatories and requests for admission is April 16, 2027; fact discovery cutoff is April 16, 2027; affirmative expert disclosure deadline is May 14, 2027; rebuttal expert disclosure deadline is June 11, 2027; motions to strike experts and Rule 702 motions deadline is July 9, 2027; all discovery cutoff is July 9, 2027; and dispositive motions deadline is August 13, 2027. Defendant Russell's Motion for Extension of Certain Discovery Deadlines, ECF No. 118 , is DENIED as moot. Entered by Magistrate Judge Cyrus Y. Chung on 9/9/2026. Text Only Entry.(eluce)
