MINUTE entry before the Honorable Heather K. McShain: The Court has reviewed the parties' joint status report, 95 , which reports that discovery is progressing and the parties have not engaged in formal settlement discussions. The parties have also filed a proposed agreed confidentiality order. 96 . This is not the proper procedure. As outlined in Judge McShain's standing order, the parties should file a motion (indicating whether it is agreed or opposed) and email a copy of their proposed protective order to the Court in Microsoft Word format, as outlined in the Court's procedures for Submitting a Proposed Order, Agreed or Otherwise, for Electronic Entry by the Judge. The parties are directed to use the model protective order approved by the full Court and set forth in the Local Rules. Parties may deviate from the model order, but when submitting their proposed order to the Court's e-mail address they must include both a clean version of their order and a redline version showing any changes made from the model order. Further joint status report due 08/20/2026 to update the Court on (a) the progress of discovery; (b) the state of settlement discussions, if any; and (c) any other matters the parties believe should be brought to the Court's attention. The parties may contact chambers at any time (by email to Chambers_McShain@ilnd.uscourts.gov) if they would like the Court's assistance with settlement. (pk, ) (Entered: 06/30/2026)
