MINUTE entry before the Honorable Edmond E. Chang: (1.) The motion to file certain exhibits under seal 211 is granted provisionally. The Court will again review the propriety of sealing when evaluating the underlying motion. The unopposed motion 206 to use extra pages is granted. (2.) But on the class-certification motion, a video status hearing is set for 07/01/2026 at 9:30 a.m. to discuss whether it is sensible to start certification briefing before the close of discovery. Usually the answer is no. Members of the public and media will be able to call in to listen to the hearing. The call-in number is (650) 479-3207 and the access code is 2305 057 1184##. Counsel of record will receive an email before the start of the hearing with instructions to log into the hearing. Persons granted remote access to proceedings are reminded of the general prohibition against photographing, recording, and rebroadcasting of court proceedings. Violation of these prohibitions may result in sanctions, including removal of court issued media credentials, restricted entry to future hearings, denial of entry to future hearings, or any other sanctions deemed necessary by the Court.
