RULING AND ORDER Adopting 35 Report and Recommendation of the U.S. Magistrate Judge. 21 Motion to Dismiss for Lack of Capacity in Accordance with Code of Civil Procedure Rule 17 is GRANTED. Defendants Southern University Law Center and Southern University A&M College are DISMISSED WITH PREJUDICE. 28 and 29 Plaintiff's Motions for Leave to File First Amended Complaint to Add Southern's Board of Supervisors as an Additional Defendant are DENIED. 26 Motion to Dismiss for Fail ure to State a Claim is GRANTED IN PART and DENIED IN PART. Defendant Andrea Love and Plaintiff's claims of intentional infliction of emotional distress are DISMISSED WITHOUT PREJUDICE. Plaintiff may file amended complaint within 14 days of the issuance of this Order to cure deficiencies regarding claims of intentional infliction of emotional distress against Defendant Andrea Love. Failure to do so will result in dismissal of said claims with prejudice. Any amended complaint or renewed motion for leave by Plaintiff should address subject matter jurisdiction of this Court to hear Plaintiff's claims. Signed by Judge Brian A. Jackson on 7/30/2026.
