MINUTE entry before the Honorable Jeffrey T. Gilbert: Status hearing and off the record discussion held with the parties on 5/8/24. The parties reported on their continuing settlement discussions. Parties have exchanged settlement documents per the Court's prior order 118 . Defendant requests that the Court set another settlement conference, and the Court agrees that that may be a good idea based upon its discussion off the record about the remaining issues the parties are discussing. In person settlement conference set for 6/4/24 at 11:00am in Courtroom 1386. Counsel should confirm by the close of business on 5/9/24 whether all necessary parties are available that day, including a representative for Defendant's insurance carrier and Plaintiff's general counsel. By 5/31/24, the parties shall send a joint letter to Settlement_Conference_Gilbert@ilnd.uscourts.gov outlining their then-current settlement positions on the remaining issues. If the parties want to send separate letters, with or without copying the other side, they can do so. By agreement of the parties, the date for the parties to take any remaining fact depositions (including pursuant to Rule 30(b)(6)) is extended to 7/1/24. In addition, the due date for Rule 26(a)(2) disclosures is extended to 7/1/24; rebuttal disclosures due by 8/1/24; and expert discovery, including depositions, shall close by 9/9/24. Mailed notice.
