Order on Motion for Discovery
District Judge Patti B. Saris: ELECTRONIC ORDER entered re 70 Motion for Leave to Conduct Limited Discovery to Complete and Supplement the Administrative Record After review of the parties' submissions and a hearing, the Court ALLOWS Plaintiffs' motion for leave to conduct limited discovery (Dkt. 70 ) as follows. Plaintiffs may serve interrogatories and requests for production of documents on Defendants in accordance with the limits set forth in Local Rule 26.1(c). Plaintiffs may also take one Rule 30(b)(6) deposition with respect to the U.S. Department of State and one Rule 30(b)(6) deposition with respect to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Plaintiffs shall serve discovery requests by September 23, 2026. The parties shall meet and confer about those requests by September 30, 2026. The parties shall file a joint status report by October 2, 2026, regarding the status of discovery and any agreement to supplement the administrative record. No later than September 30, 2026, Defendants shall submit to the Court for in camera review unredacted versions of the documents produced to Plaintiffs as part of the administrative record and an affidavit justifying the redactions made to the documents produced to Plaintiffs. Defendants shall maintain redactions for the names and other personally identifiable information of individual student visa holders. (CGK)
