MINUTES (IN CHAMBERS) ORDER TO SHOW CAUSE WHY SANCTIONS SHOULD NOT BE IMPOSED FOR FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH COURT ORDER by Judge Cynthia Valenzuela: Counsel of record for Defendant, Mr. Eric Welch, is ORDERED TO SHOW CAUSE, in writing, no later than 14 days from the date of this Order, why sanctions should not be imposed for failure to comply with the Court's 8/21/2025 Order 26 . Any response must be limited to ten pages and must be supported by a declaration. In the alternative, counsel may discharge this Order to Show Cause by timely filing one of the following: (1) a motion to withdraw as counsel that complies with the Local Rules and includes proof of notice to Defendant and all appeared parties; (2) a completed Request for Approval of Substitution or Withdrawal of Counsel form signed by Defendant; or (3) a Joint Rule 26(f) Report that complies with the Court's 6/27/2025 Order. Failure to timely and adequately respond to this Order may result in monetary sanctions against counsel and/or further sanctions, including striking Defendant's Answer and directing entry of default.
