(TEXT ONLY ENTRY) MINUTES OF Status Conference held before Magistrate Judge Sheri Pym: The case was called and counsel made their appearances. The Court heard updates and argument from counsel regarding the progress of discovery production. With respect to the process for collecting Teams URL data, the process the parties have agreed to shall proceed with the date range beginning January 1, 2025. The Court is inclined to find CBP should provide plaintiffs with lists of URLs on a custodian-by-custodian basis rather than a de-duplicated list, but defendants counsel is directed to check on the burden this would impose and, if there is not agreement, counsel shall meet and confer and if needed again present the issue to the Court. As to whether defendants may cull the ESI they collect from individual custodians using point-of-collection search terms, the parties shall brief the matter to address the Courts questions at the conference, with defendants brief due October 9, plaintiffs response due October 14, and defendants reply due October 15, 2026. The Court sets a further status conference for October 16, 2026 at 10:30 a.m. The parties are ordered to continue negotiating the list of custodians as well as search terms in the meantime.
