District Judge Angel Kelley: ELECTRONIC ORDER entered. The Court has received communications from counsel representing the individual Defendants in this case in a related state probate proceeding. Counsel advised that Defendant James J. MacDonald has been appointed as the representative of the estate at issue in this interpleader. Defendants, who are proceeding pro se in this action, are advised that if they seek disbursement of the funds held in this Court’s Registry, they must file a motion for disbursement of funds in this case. The motion shall include, as attachments, any relevant records from the state probate proceeding, including, for example, the order appointing the estate’s representative. The motion shall request disbursement of the funds and identify the person or entity to whom Defendants request the funds be disbursed. Defendants are further advised of the Boston College Law School Federal Pro Se Legal Assistance Clinic, which provides free assistance to pro se litigants in federal court in the District of Massachusetts (email: BClawclinic@bc.edu, phone: (617) 552-5297). Status Conference held on 8/5/2026. Atty Christopher Vaungh Martel appears on behalf of the defendants. Counsel informs the court a designee for the estate has been appointed. The court discusses the funds for disbursement and requests counsel file an appearance and motion for disbursement of those remaining funds. Counsel informs the court that he is not admitted to the Federal Bar. The court will look into the matter and determine how best to proceed.
