Order on Motion for Extension of Time
PAPERLESS ORDER granting non-party Gulfcom Inc.'s ("Gulfcom") 44 Motion for Extension of Time to Serve Objections and Responses to Plaintiffs' Subpoena Duces Tecum. Under Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 6(b), "the court may, for good cause, extend the time" to file a response or reply "if a request is made, before the original time or its extension expires...." Fed. R. Civ. P. 6(b)(1)(A). Gulfcom seeks a 30-day extension, until October 29, 2026, to serve written objections to the subpoena, and until November 20, 2026, to comply with the subpoena. Gulfcom bases its extension request on the recent retention of counsel and the broad scope of the subpoena, which includes 26 requests and various subparts spanning over 20 years. The Court finds good cause exists to grant Gulfcom's request, despite the absence of Plaintiffs' position on the request. Accordingly, the 44 Motion to extend the time to respond and object to the subpoena is GRANTED. Gulfcom shall serve its written objections on or before October 29, 2026. To the extent Gulfcom also seeks to modify the subpoena's compliance date, the Motion is denied without prejudice to renew following adequate efforts to confer. Signed by Magistrate Judge Lauren Fleischer Louis on 9/29/2026. (ak03)
