Justices Reject Bid To Revive $340M Becton Antitrust Verdict

Law360, Fort Wayne (March 20, 2017, 2:03 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday declined to hear an appeal by syringe maker Retractable Technologies Inc. asking for the reinstatement of a $340 million award on antitrust and false advertising claims against rival Becton Dickinson and Co.

The high court did not elaborate on its denial of Retractable’s certiorari petition. Retractable had asked the justices to review the case in January, a month after the Fifth Circuit tossed an antitrust verdict against BD.
