House Dem Calls For Hearing On Amazon-Whole Foods Tie

Law360, New York (July 13, 2017, 8:03 PM EDT) -- The top Democrat on the House Judiciary’s antitrust subcommittee on Thursday said he wants a hearing looking into Amazon’s $13.7 billion bid to buy Whole Foods, saying the proposed acquisition could be bad for American wages if the marketplace becomes less competitive as a result.
