US Chamber Says FTC 'Going Rogue' Under New Chair

By Matthew Perlman (November 19, 2021, 7:10 PM EST) -- The U.S. Chamber of Commerce on Friday vowed to fight recent moves made by the Federal Trade Commission under its new chair, Lina Khan, saying the efforts pose a grave threat to American businesses.

The Chamber said in a statement on its website that it is sending letters to the FTC objecting to the agency's recent use of so-called zombie votes cast by a former commissioner and an aggressive push for penalties over certain marketing practices, while also asking for information about a number of other policy decisions.
