Law360, Washington (November 4, 2015, 4:50 PM EST) -- The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission likely will show it received a greater number of whistleblower tips during its last fiscal year when it reports its latest stats in the coming weeks, a top enforcement official said on Wednesday.
Speaking at a conference in Washington, D.C., Stephen L. Cohen, associate director of the agency's enforcement division, said while the final report is still being prepared, the overall tally is likely to come in higher than the fiscal 2014 results, when the SEC said it received what was then a record 3,620 tips.
