FTC Names Former Official As New Acting GC

Law360 (April 2, 2018, 7:17 PM EDT) -- The Federal Trade Commission on Monday named Alden F. Abbott as its new acting general counsel, a former official for the agency who most recently served as a deputy director at the conservative think tank The Heritage Foundation.

Abbott served as a senior fellow and deputy director of the think tank's Meese Center for Legal and Judicial Studies, a position he took in April 2014. He previously worked for Blackberry and also held several posts at the FTC between 2001 and 2012, including as deputy director...
