3M Settles Suit Over Patents Covering Metal Mesh Conductors

By Kevin Penton (January 31, 2019, 11:00 PM EST) -- 3M and a California-based touch-screen manufacturer have settled allegations filed last year in Delaware federal court that certain touch products infringed 3M's patents covering metal mesh conductor films, the companies announced on Thursday.

Neither 3M Co. nor Elo Touch Solutions Inc. on Thursday disclosed the terms of the settlement, which they each said involves a suit in which 3M alleged that certain Elo products containing metal mesh conductor technology infringed the Minnesota-based company's patents, according to the announcements.
