AFL-CIO Eyes Campaign To Challenge TPP

Law360, New York (September 11, 2013, 5:43 PM EDT) -- The AFL-CIO adopted a resolution this week threatening to launch a formal campaign to oppose the Trans-Pacific Partnership, while the union's president said Monday that the proposed trade deal and others like it should promote workers' interests over those of corporations.

In a speech at the AFL-CIO's national convention in Los Angeles, union President Richard L. Trumka said global trade agreements should not come at the expense of workers.
